Functional skills is not just about developing knowledge, it is also about knowing when and how to use the knowledge in real life situations. You can get ahead in work, education and daily life by gaining a Functional Skills qualification.
Learners who enrol on our maths Functional Skills classes are funded by the Government. The courses suit learners of all abilities and you will negotiate a programme of learning with your tutor.
We offer qualifications from Entry Level up to more advanced qualifications at Level 2. These courses are designed to improve your job prospects and help you with practical daily tasks..
Our courses lead to a recognised City & Guilds Functional Skills qualification or to a unit of study, which can help develop confidence before taking a full exam.
The courses start in September, although there will be other set opportunities to enrol later in the academic year.

How do I get started?
Before joining a class you will need to sign up for one of our Enrolment Sessions. We will assess what level you are working at and what key areas you might need to work on. There are number of options available and these will be discussed at your enrolment session.
After your Enrolment Session, we will discuss our range of courses and help you decide which best meets your needs and lifestyle.
Please note: Bring proof of ID with you to the Enrolment Session. We cannot offer you a place on a course without it.
