We offer a range of GCSE subjects for self and career improvement, to help you progress to further study or access Higher Education. These are intensive courses which require significant commitment and self-study. We are excited to announce the launch of our new introduction to GCSE Biology courses.
Admissions Process for GCSE courses starting September 2018:
GSCE English/GSCE Maths
How do I join a GCSE Course in September 2018?
You will be required to attend an Admissions Session to apply for a place on a GCSE English or GCSE Maths course. Please call us on 01202 262300 | 01305 819059 or email [email protected] to book a place. Enrolment sessions run throughout the spring and summer and places are offered on a first come, first served basis. Our GCSE Courses are popular, so please apply in plenty of time as enrolments cannot be accepted once the course has started in September.
At the enrolment session you will be provided with information about the course to help you make an informed decision about suitability. Your current level of English and/or Maths skills will be assessed and you will be interviewed by a member of our team.
The outcome of your skills assessment may determine that a Functional Skills English or Maths course is more appropriate for you. Please read the Course Information Sheet for more information prior to attending an enrolment session.

Applications for places on a GCSE Biology course starting in September 2018 can now be made.
You must complete an online application form to apply for a place on GCSE Biology. Please ensure that you thoroughly read the Course Information Sheet and GCSE Application Pack before submitting your application. These can be found here. You will need English and Maths skills at Level 2 to support your success on GSCE Biology. Please note you must apply online for a place on GSCE Biology.

Introduction to Biology
A ten week course that will help prepare leaners that are looking to undertake the one year course, leading to a GCSE qualification. Alternatively a course for learners wanting to get back into learning and enjoy science.
With the other leaners in your class you will explore subjects such as evolution, DNA, how plants make sugar, the immune system and more.

When are the GCSE Exams?
National Exams are scheduled for May/June 2019 and all applicants must be available for these. Your tutor will advise you of the dates when you start your course.
GCSE Biology also has some additional mandatory sessions for practical experiments throughout the year. You will be advised of these dates when you start your course.
How much does a GCSE cost?
English and Maths GCSE are fully funded by the Government* if you do not already have a Grade C (Level 4) or above.

If English is your second language?
Much of your success in your GCSE studies depends on your ability to demonstrate proficiency in English; evidence of this will be decisive in reviewing your application. If your current level is not sufficient you will be advised to join an English for Speakers of Other Languages course.
