Education and Training City & Guilds Level 3 Award

This course provides an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback. The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required by teachers/trainers in the further education and training skills sector.

This introductory, knowledge-based teaching qualification has no minimum teaching practice requirement. Therefore, it may be undertaken by individuals who are not yet in a teaching role.

Education and Training City & Guilds Level 4 certificate

This qualification develops practical teaching skills, and through the optional units prepares teachers to work in a wide range of contexts.

You will cover the following mandatory units related to teaching in a wide range of contexts:

  • understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training;
  • planning to meet the needs of learners;
  • delivering teaching or training;
  • assessing learners; and
  • using resources in education and training.
